UGH

Ok this entry was posted Feb 10th but something went wrong and I didn't feel like fixing it and ya.. so I'm reposting it then posting my newest entry. Ok excuses excuses I know but I really have been busy lately! I don't think there is much to update except the fact that Rylee has started falling asleep on my chest at night and chillin out for hours on end. Still pretty psycho when hes awake though lol. So I have a lot of pictures and my has my little baby grown! Also its almost time to get him tested again to see if he's clean of the parasites! Hope he is! Charlie wants to play with Rylee lol He looks like he EXPLODED! Rubbing faceskin off on the log lol My Mom stuck a leaf on his head and he didn't know what to do.. Sleeping on mommy under my sweater :)

Disinfecting

Ok so today I spent so effing long cleaning Rylee's Tank and disinfecting everything it was so freaking ridiculous. It took forever and now I'm stuck being super paranoid about whether i cleaned everything enough and whether I rinsed everything out enough and ugh. Its stressful with a sick baby. He's still taking his medicine very well but I was reading the information book I got (finally) and found tips on getting rid of Coccidia and apparently its more difficult then how my vet explained.. I figure I'll try my vet's method then if he's still infected I'll do the more hardcore way I read in the book. My mom (Grandma) finally got up the nerve to hold Rylee today after I showed her how good he's getting with being handled. So without further ado, PICTURES!

Hell

This week has been hell because I have been in my house alone for a week with my parents gone taking care of my Dobermann Amy, my two Siamese cats Lynus and Charlie, my Hermit Crabs Akito Ayame Kisa Momiji and Ristu as well as Rylee himself. So a few days back his poop started to look funny and smell HORRIBLE so I got worried and talked my aunt into taking Rylee and I to the vet. Sure enough the poor little guy has pin worms, ring worms and coccidia.. so 185$ later he is on 3 different medications which he actually takes pretty well. The cutest thing ever happened at the vet's though because he was trying to be tough and puff out his beard but hes so small and it didnt go black all it ended up doing was melting my heart and making me laugh. Also after being at the vets for an hour the little guy started feeling kind of cold so I wrapped him in my sweater to try and keep him warm. So my pictures for this week are Rylee wrapped in my sweater at the vets, and one old picture I have posted already of him sleeping on his twig when I got him, and a new one of him sleeping on the same twig now! He went from 6inches to 9.25 inches :D

Ok so I don't have any new pictures, camera died. Rylee is being very good lately, letting me pick him up without a struggle, I've been petting him while talking to him in his cage for a bit each day and it seems to be making all the difference. Only bad thing is, Charlie has finally discovered him in his tank and has been spending too much time trying to figure out how to climb in the tank of just sitting on the windowsill behind him staring at him from above. Poor little guy is probably trying to figure out who his new furry god from above is lol. I fear he has been feeling sick for the last 3 days though because he has had very dark stress marks when he is just sitting in his tank, they actually go away when I talk to him and pet him then pick him up, but his poo has also been looking funny lately. My vet is also my neighbour so I'm going to ask him how much the visit will cost and hopefully I wont be held back because of price. I'm going to do a fecal test as well as an overall check up to make sure he's fully healthy. I'll keep you updated about how he's doing. Maybe he's old enough to be sexed too?! lol

Blahrg!

Ok so no updates in a few days which is simply the fault of me being ridiculously tired and having no apparent reason for being so! Rylee went into a full body shed the other day and I thought it was so funny! Skin hanging off of him all over the place! I got an awesome picture of his chun flap hanging off his neck and was so excited to post it and then! noticed the lock was slid on my memory card and by the time I noticed he had already shed everything which sucks.. He has one spot on is back that hasn't shed but I'm not letting myself worry about it intil it looks like it is bothering him. So today I managed to get Rylee to let me pick him up and he didn;t hesitate or try to run away or anything and I was so happy! All I did before hand was stand next to his tank and talked to him while petting him on the head and neck. All I said was stupid stuff like "what a cute little dragon, you need to let me hold you more and calm down a bit so we can be friends and you not be such a jerk, ya you do." lol who knows maybe he understood me? Well now for some pictures I have taken over the past few days but haven't posted, a new "fuzzy" I gave him in hopes he will love it and sleep on it but so far no suck luck, just jumped on it when I fed him a worm, and lastly how he is currently sleeping as I type this entry, between two fake plants, suspended with nothing supporting his little tummy lol.

Hello

Ok so I am starting back at work this week since Christmas break is over so my updates may no longer be every single day (as you may have noticed) But I will try and keep them as frequent as possible. I don't have any interesting stories about Rylee's day or any cute pictures because I started work shortly after he woke up and came home just before his lights went out. I gave him a stuffed Piglette I found in hopes of him bonding with it and sleeping on it but so far he still seems more interested in sleeping ontop of or hiding in his fake plants I have set up in a corner of his tank. Tomorow I am off work which means a day of relaxing and hopefully bonding with Rylee. He is always so jumpy and squirmy when I hold him now I'm hoping if I take him out for a long period of time he will relax and maybe even fall asleep on me though my hopes are not set too high. I keep remembering how a day or two after I brought him home he fell asleep while laying on my finger, I hope I can get him like that for good at some point :(

More Shed

Only news I have for you today is the bottom of Rylee's tank is covered in gross remains of tail shed! Which makes me happy cause there has been a distinct line behind his back legs of where his tail had gone grey and his body hadn't for days! Ok so Nose was yesterday Tail was today (as well as a bit of lip still) so hopefully within the next few days a whole body shed will happen and my Rylee will be a growing boy!
