Reindeer

Just have three pics for today. I'm home in Guelph for a week and Rylee was staring at my mom's reindeer beside her tank, so we decided to see what she really thought of it.

Monster Worms!!!

So only a short post today but it is quite amusing. I went to Tails and Scales to buy some hornworms since I am out of crickets and they had them on sale. I ended up buying 6 since they were only $1 each. The amusing part is the fact that these things are at least three times the size of the biggest ones I have ever seen in my life! Which means Rylee has never seen one this big either! So I spoilt my baby by giving her 3 yesterday, and 3 today. The three yesterday were good, I got a video to share of giving her the first one since she freaked out so bad she almost fell off hr stick twice! But today... Oh God.. She decided to eat all three from the side instead of the end, and anyone who has fed a reptile a worm knows what that means. Leaky worm guts and juice all over the place. It was quite disgusting but boy was my baby happy! :)

Cutest Story Ever

I actually can't believe I didn't think to update this blog the other night when this happened!!!! Rylee wanted out, and I wanted to cuddle, so I took her out and sure enough she wasn't having it and wanted to run. So I let her go explore and she found my plastic cabinet with movies and games in it, she climbed the pile of movies next to an open drawer (i then held the movies so they didn't slip away) and she climbed up and into the drawer all by herself. Where, just to spite me, she lied down and went to sleep...


She even let me close the drawer she was in when I wanted something out of the one below it.. So the story actually gets even cuter after this!! I let her stay there for about three hours while I did other things. By the time I wanted to lay in bed and put her away her lights had already gone out and it was past her bedtime. So I went to the drawer and opened it wider so I could reach her. I then her a soft hiss noise and thought "no couldn't have been Rylee" considering her eyes were still closed and she's never hissed at me before in her life. So I go to move her and sure enough without even opening her eyes she opened her mouth slightly and hissed very softly. I couldn't help but laugh relly hard because its as if she was saying "Don't make me move! I wanna sleep here!!" By far the cutest thing Rylee has done in a long time. <3

After trying to shove her head in and her not taking it she has found the cave all on her own and hung out inside it for a good bit today! FINALLY!

Exploring

So news news news! My mom ended up buying ME a Mother's Day gift since I have my "baby" Rylee. The only twist is it is kind of a gift for herself as well since it will greatly benefit her as well. My mom finally caved and purchased a "Vacation Home" for Rylee so when I come home for longer periods of time we don't have to take two trips and bring her tank back as well! So I have some pictures to share of her vacation home which is a little bit smaller than her regular tank, as well as some pictures from when I had her out and about exploring the house. She was being followed by Lynus and Charlie and managed to find the room with her tank in it, then proceed to try and figure out how to get back inside of it! So cute.

I know it has been over a month since my last update about Rylee but that isn't really a bad thing. The reason I haven't been updating on her is because she is just being Rylee. She has been lazy and herself in her tank. She is not sick, she's eating properly,she gets some exercise when I can and thats about it. I had her out tonight and she managed to snuggle beside my leg and passed out on the carpet. I moved and she managed to stay there, she opened her eyes but just stared like "why did you move?" so now as I write this I am on the couch with her passed out on me. Theres a picture of that too! :P

Really?

Ok so typing in this position is actually pretty hard but I had to make an update post for the pictures I just took. She climbed up here all by herself and now has her eyes closed and is sleeping.... She was running around my apt. in my hopes that she might poop since once again she hasn't for at least two weeks. Hope she does soon she is starting to look really fat and uncomfortable. :(
